The safari takes you from Nairobi to Masai Mara then to Lake Nakuru National Park before ending north to Samburu national reserve. We will then visit Mount Kenya’s Aberdares national park before returning to Nairobi again where our 8 days safari ends.
The eight days Kenya Lodge Safari starts by a pick from your hotel after the breakfast, then depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve, stopping at the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley for photography and at Narok town for hot lunch in Narok Town. After lunch proceed on to Masai Mara. Arrive in time for a late afternoon game drive in this park, which is essentially the northern extension of Tanzania's Serengeti National Park as an artificial border only separates the two. Masai Mara is renowned for its high animal concentration and abundance. Black manned lions, elephants, and buffalo can be seen (3 out of the big 5) though luck is essential for spotting leopard and rhino, which make the other two. The park is home to numerous plains game including the migratory wildebeest, the common zebra, and the Masai giraffe as well as antelopes like Thompson's gazelle, hartebeest, impala and Dik Dik among others. We shall then proceed to our lodge for dinner and overnight
The whole day explores the parks amazingly high concentration of game. This game reserve is Kenya's finest wildlife sanctuary. Including migrants, well over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. The Mara's gentle fertile climate bounded by The Rift offers perhaps the richest stocked reserve set within some 1672 sq km - an unlimited spectacle of wildlife. Located 268 km west of Nairobi, the emphasis here is on the game. Herds of immense Elephants, browse among Lion, Buffalo, Thompson Gazelle, Zebra, and Topi. You may occasionally sight a Rhino or Leopard. In the Mara River Hippos, play and Cross bask on the banks. The annual migration of a million Wildebeest follows the rains to the north. Dinner and overnight in Mara Sopa Lodges. Return at the Lodge Dinner and overnight.
Early breakfast followed by a full day of game drives within the reserve. The Masai Mara is famous for its lions, elephants, leopard, rhino and buffalo that make the 'big five' though luck is essential for spotting the other two namely which are rather shy and elusive. The park's animal concentration and abundance is second to none. We will cater for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool where with luck you may spot crocodiles basking on the rocks. Numerous plains game including antelopes, wildebeest, zebra, Masai giraffe can be seen as well as scavengers like hyena and vulture. Return at the Lodge Dinner and overnight. .
Early breakfast followed by an early game drive. An early morning game drive on this day will give you an opportunity to witness the animal kingdom at its most active hours before later beginning our journey to our next destination, Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive on time for Lunch before exploring Lake Nakuru later on in the day. Lake Nakuru is a famous park for its high population of Flamingoes and other water birds. It's also a Rhinos sanctuary and all the big five except the elephants can be found in the park. In the evening return to our lodge for dinner and overnight.
Have an early morning game drive before returning to the hotel for breakfast. We check out and begin our journey to the north. We will be going to our today's destination, The Samburu National Reserve. Lunch on this day will be provided en route or at the park if we arrive in time. Upon arrival, we embark on a late afternoon game drive at Samburu national reserve returning to our lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, depart for an early morning game drive. Return to a camp for lunch. At 04.00 pm, you will be taken for another game drive till dusk. Samburu National Reserve is a wildlife haven. Here you will spot Africa's big cats - lions, cheetahs and the elusive leopard. Some animals are unique to this northern Kenya Park: Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, kudu, and gerenuk. The Ewaso Nyiro River, the boundary with the neighboring Buffalo Springs National Reserve, is where the elephants, buffalo, and other animal species gather for a drink. You will find the scenic semiarid landscape quite dramatic. The reserve is located within the lands of the colorful semi-nomadic Samburu tribesmen. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.
After breakfast, depart Samburu for Tree Top. You will have a game drive on the way before checking in the Lodge for dinner. On is day you will be able to see the Animals coming at the water hole which makes this lodge to stand out as compared to other lodges in Kenya Lunch on this day will be provided en route. Dinner and overnight in Tree Tops Lodge. .
After breakfast, drive south via the biggest open-air market in East and Central Africa (Karatina). Proceed to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch in one of the restaurants Flame tree or Carnivore. After the lunch proceed straight to the airport if your flight is the same day or back to the hotel
Located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature. Located inside the Samburu National Reserve in Northern Kenya, Samburu Sopa lodge is built atop high ground allowing panaromic views of the vastness of Samburu shrub land and the hills beyond. The lodge is built to reflect the architectural heritage of the local communities whose sons and daughters make up the majority of the work force at the lodge. Fifteen cottages, each with two bedrooms are built in an arch formation on either side of the public areas to surround the waterhole but leaving a wide gap to allow the animals free movement to the water.
Quirky and iconic, Noah Ark is set in the heart of the Aberdare National Park, in Nyeri. The lodge overlooks a watering hole and salt lick, attracting a variety of wildlife, and features four viewing areas, including a ground-level bunker.
